The Early Beginnings

Seven years ago on an anniversary trip to Italy, we were encouraged by our oldest daughter to stay in Bed and Breakfasts instead of hotels or inns.  “That way, you would be able to really get to know the Italian people in their homes as well as understanding their culture.”  So we made plans to stay at a bed and breakfast in Montepulciano our first two nights in country and we planned  the rest of our trip along the way.  It certainly was a wonderful experience that prompted us to think about opening a bed and breakfast in Auburn.

Both my husband and I were born in Louisiana and raised in Mississippi. We had plenty of experience watching our own parents show hospitality in our growing up years.  We have also stayed in Bed and Breakfast in Maine, Vermont, Ireland and Scotland and have taken many of those experiences and incorporated them in the James Cameron House Bed and Breakfast.   Also, the architecture of our home and the addition being built is reminiscent of what we are familiar with, a Louisiana Acadian style home.

Whether you are visiting Auburn in regard to seeing your children, attending athletic games, graduation, Camp War Eagle, wedding parties, retreats or just a get away to relax,  consider visiting us and experience true southern hospitality.
